Rabbit Flat is a roadhouse located approximately halfway along the Tanami Track, and claims to be the most remote roadhouse in Australia. Rabbit Flat is about 600km north-west of Alice Springs and 400km south-east of Halls Creek.The roadhouse has fuel (leaded, unleaded and diesel), food and basic supplies, but be warned that the roadhouse is CLOSED on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and that payment is by cash, travellers cheques or eftpos only. Camping is available at Rabbit Flat on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights for a small fee. If fuel will be required when the roadhouse is closed, call on open days to make prior arrangements.
